PT Bjerke - Owner - SuperCharge! Foods

P.T. Bjerke

Founder, Co-owner, Farmer, Manager
P.T was born in La Crosse WI and learned the value of farming from his mom. Having a life-changing car accident at age 18 he understood the value of taking ownership of one's health and wellness. He realized food was the best tool he could provide to others to support individual and community wellness. Over the last 15 years, P.T. has fine-tuned the SuperCharge! system and significantly expanded its production. In his home attic, he created a mini farm which started at 6-8lbs of food per week and grew to over 5,000 lbs of food each year. In 2015, the SC!F farm moved to its current location where P.T. oversees the production of approximately 33,000 lbs of microgreens per year. What started with 2 crops has increased to over 40 varieties of microgreens that we offer. Including one variety (melon/cantaloupe) that he pioneered and has become an industry wide staple. In his position as managing member, with the support of his partners and other LLC members, he has overseen the expansion of SC!F from an in-home farm to a brick and mortar location which includes the farm, a community space and a juice bar. While the Juice Bar and community space were casualties of COVID he now envisions expanding production to the entire space to support further growth of the microgreen business. SC!F is now a federally certified (GAP/GHP) operation, with Organic certification through MOSA as well. P.T. looks forward to fine-tuning the model and continuing to expand production while pioneering new products and avenues for sales.
Jamaal - Juice Bar Manager

Jamaal Stricklin

Co-owner, Admin.
Jamaal was born in Milwaukee WI where he graduated from Milwaukee Lutheran High School. He was a 2 sport athlete, playing football and was a member of the wrestling team. He attended UW Madison University where his first love was Journalism. The desire to talk to and inspire people led him to an interest in business and customer service. In 2000 he started work at a tavern on State St. in Madison Wisconsin named The Pub. This is where he and P.T. became coworkers and friends. Jamaal joined the SuperCharge! team in 2014 after seeing that the vision of the business aligned with his world view and offered him an opportunity to do something he loved with people he loved, and that was talk to and help the community. Jamaal has experience in the food service industry as a bartender and bouncer. He has experience in customer service as an assistant manager and manager for several major retailers. He has also worked as a District Administrator in the Radioshack corporate office in Eagan MN. In the last 8 years he has served a vital role in the city of Madison by being a board member of The Madison Public Market Foundation, also serving as the Board President from 2019 to 2023. He is passionate about growing and strengthening the community through nutrient dense foods and making them available to the underserved.
Matt Roellig - Greenhouse

Matt Roellig

Co-owner, Farmer, Kitchen Manager
Matt was born in La Crosse, WI. He and PT are childhood friends. Matt met Jamaal shortly after moving to Madison in 2000 while he and PT were co-workers at The Pub on State St. Matt has worked in food service for his entire life, mostly in restaurants. His experience at multiple levels in the service industry has been an important asset in this current endeavor. He has always considered nutrition and physical fitness an important part of living a good life. In 2013, Matt started the transition from working in a fine dining kitchen to becoming an urban farmer and small business owner. Often working 7 days a week, he learned the many intricacies of growing the micro greens that would make SuperCharge! what it is today. After years of hard work, Matt left the restaurant industry to work full time at SuperCharge! in January of 2017. Since then he has overseen the kitchen operations as well as done much of the farming, the invoicing and deliveries, and other miscellaneous tasks important to the business. Matt sees Super Charge as an opportunity to make not only our community a better place but also the world by extension. It is his belief that being one of the few pioneers in the burgeoning urban farming industry will set an example of how localized agriculture is not only a viable option, but a preferable one, compared to the much of the traditional mass producing and resource intensive mainstay. As we expand our reach into more and more sectors of food service we get ever closer to that goal.

Billie Kelsey

Co-owner, Food Production Manager
Billie was born in Chicago, Ill and moved to Madison, WI as a child, to be closer to the family farm in the driftless region. Nutrition was a big part of her upbringing, and the family farm was worked using organic practices. Billie graduated from Richland Center High School and moved to Milwaukee to attend Marquette University on a full engineering scholarship. After attending Marquette for two years, Billie decided to enter the workforce and spent the next 12 years in food service as a waitress, hostess, bartender, banquet manager, restaurant manager and catering supervisor. Billie came back to Madison in 1993 to raise her son. She went to Madison College and completed an Associate degree in Liberal studies. She then transitioned into self-employment working as a house painter, landscaper, and house cleaner. 12 years later she was accepted at UW Madison and is currently one semester shy of a Bachelor's degree in Sociology. Throughout parenting, going to school and running a small business, Billie continued to have an affinity for gardening and eating healthy unprocessed foods. In January of 2020 Billie heard of a staffing need at SuperCharge!. She applied and eventually became part of the core crew as the world slowed down due to the coronavirus. Billie loves the vision, the energy and the microgreens at SuperCharge!. She feels strongly about the nutritional density of the products she makes and loves making healthy food that tastes delicious.
